Report Overview
The year 2009 presented unique opportunities and challenges to the Women’s Movement generally and UWONET in particular. It was the first year of implementing the new strategy (2009-2013). This strategy has been developed out of a desire to respond more meaningfully with renewed commitment and relevance in the more increasingly challenging CSO environment of operations for the attainment of gender equality and equity.
The strategy reflects on lessons learnt for commitment to change, and presents UWONET with a fresh mandate to nurture an independent space for women to share and act to strengthen their role in influencing key governance and development agenda.
