The Simplified Compendium of some International, Regional and National Instruments against GBV has been developed by UWONET with support from United Nations Fund- Peace Building Fund.

Gender Based Violence (GBV) has been found to be a significant social problem in Uganda which manifests itself in a wide range of human rights violations including sexual abuse of children, rape, child abuse, discrimination against girls, child labor, political violence/ discrimination.
