Executive Summary

The handbook is aimed at informing women and men on the women’s entitlement to justice under the international and national legislation. It raises awareness that there is a universal standard of life that all humans are entitled to regardless of whether they are male or female.

Since human rights education is currently not part of the national curricula, UWONET intends to educate the community at large and more particularly women about women’s natural rights so that they are able to demand for what is due to them and thus end the widespread violations against women in private and public spheres of life.
