UWONET to hold 5th National Women’s Week 2023

‘We are happy to announce the 5th National Women’s Week 2023 which is scheduled to take place from 16th to 23rd November 2023.

The 5th National Women’s Week 2023 is organized under the theme:  *Women’s Organizing Re-imagined! Thriving through Adversity.* 

UWONET conceived Women’s Week as one of the platforms to deeply reflect on reawakening the women’s movement to advance the women’s cause, realizing that the desired change in a woman’s life will be delivered by the woman herself and is only achievable by undermining differences in age, class, education, race, and economic status among others, through encouraging a common voice.

The Women’s Week aims to: Create a space for women’s political dialogue; Create networking spaces and opportunities between the women’s movement and government institutions, structures, and development partners; Rejuvenate / interface with women across the spectrum; and create space for the younger generation to interact with the older generation to replenish the women’s movement and advocacy agenda.”
