Executive Summary

This report provides findings of the study conducted, under the ambit of the Women’s Democracy Group (WDG) on the positioning of women in the electoral process, from December 2015–February, 2016 and proposes recommendations for addressing critical challenges affecting women’s engagement.

WDG is a coalition of five women civil society organizations–Action for Development (ACFODE), Center for Women in Governance (CEWIGO), Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE), Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET) and Women’s Democracy Network-Uganda Chapter (WDN–U). WDG IS Coordinated by Uganda Women’s Network.
