Executive Summary

Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET) is an advocacy organization that exists to coordinate collective action among women’s rights and gender equality stakeholders for the attainment of gender equality and equity in Uganda.

The project on Enhancing Women’s Agency and Organizing for the Protection of Social and Economic Rights, seeks to strengthen the promotion of social justice through the reduction of social tolerance towards Gender Based Violence (GBV) and the protection of women’s rights to land and as well as increasing women’s access and benefit from existing economic resources and opportunities.
