Report Overview

In 2006, UWONET made considerable achievements in her advocacy initiatives. With the return to multi party politics, many women catapulted into key decision-making positions in Uganda. UWONET strategically trained several women candidates, during the political transition period, and has continued to work alongside them.

UWONET remains committed to its mission of promoting networking amongst women and other development partners, based on mutual trust and respect. In its bid to transform the unequal gender relations in society, UWONET values the spirit of voluntarism amongst all its members
and allies.
