Executive Summary

Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET) has over the years worked and continues to ensure that women in Uganda are actively and effectively participating in leadership at levels in society.

UWONET recognizes the role of culture and religion in promoting equality among men and women and also identifies that culture, religion and gender are foundations of social paradigms in societies, the three have often been used by the different section of societies to perpetuate gender inequalities.
