The Uganda Women's Network (UWONET) is launching a 2-year project to enhance women's leadership and civic participation in Uganda, fostering a more inclusive democracy. The project is supported by USAID. To guide this project, UWONET is commissioning a survey to understand how the public views women in leadership roles.
Project Summary

- Purpose: To identify challenges and opportunities for women in leadership and civic engagement in Uganda.
- Consultant Tasks:
- Survey public opinion on women's leadership (positive and negative perceptions).
- Analyze factors that help or hinder women's participation in leadership and civic processes.
- Develop recommendations to increase women's participation and leadership effectiveness.
Methodology
- Consultant will propose a suitable methodology for conducting a large-scale poll (3000+ participants) over 10 days.
- Methodology must work in the project locations (Nwoya, Lamwo, Kotido, Moroto districts + national level)
- Methodology should consider diversity and minimize financial burdens.

- Inception Report
- Draft Survey Report
- Final Survey Report
Timeline
- 10 days to complete from the contract signing date.
Qualifications
- Degree in Gender, Political Science, Human Rights, Statistics, or other relevant fields.
- 10+ years of experience in gender and women's rights.
- Strong understanding of Ugandan social, cultural, economic, and political context.
- Proven experience conducting surveys.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
